- >>I am currently without a 1.3 KickStart disk so I have been using the 1.2 KS with
- my 1.3 WorkBench. What problems, if any, am I likely to have with this combination
- on a relatively stock A1000?
-
- None. The 1.3 Workbench will run fine with a 1.2 Kickstart, I used it on an A500 for years.
- The only difference of importance is that you need the 1.3 kickstart to autoboot from
- a hard drive, you'd have to boot from floppy otherwise.
-
- I think you'd be really happy to obtain a newer kickstart that is not 8 years old. If you
- upgraded to 2.1 or 3.1, you could actually use most of the utilities that have come out
- in the last few years. Unless all you do is play really old games, I'd look into breathing
- a little life into the 1000 with a 3.1 kickstart.
